Editorial Policy
StrengthRoomLab exists to help home gym builders make confident decisions about the gear they train with at home. This policy explains the standards behind everything we publish.
Independence
We decide what to cover and what to recommend. No brand, retailer, or affiliate partner can buy coverage, influence the StrengthRoomLab Score of a product, or change a verdict. We do not publish sponsored reviews.
Evidence and sourcing
We base recommendations on manufacturer specifications, published independent reviews, and owner ratings. When we attribute a figure to a manufacturer, it comes from the manufacturer’s own product page or manual; when it comes from a retail listing, we say so. We do not invent specifications, measurements, weight limits, prices, awards, quotes, or credentials. If we cannot support a claim, we do not make it.
No first-hand claims
We do not run physical trials of products, and we do not describe our work as first-hand product use. When we describe how a product performs, we are summarizing published information. See How We Review.
Use of AI tools
We use software tools, including AI models, to help collect and summarize research and to prepare first drafts. These tools make mistakes. Every article is checked against our editorial standards and sourcing rules before publication.
Balance
Every review covers drawbacks as well as strengths, and we say plainly who should skip a product. A list with nothing but praise is an advertisement, not a review.
Safety
We do not give professional advice. We point out safety features, such as weight capacity and certifications, only when the manufacturer documents them. We remind readers to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Accuracy and corrections
When we get a fact wrong, we correct it promptly and update the article date. If you spot an error, please contact us.
Commissions and coverage
We earn commissions when readers buy through some of our links. Whether a product earns a commission, and how much, never determines whether we recommend it or where it ranks. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
